On 08 Oct, a Rally of staff of Gujarat Cancer & Research Institute, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India,  was organized. Dr Shilin Shukla, Hon Director, GC&RI, flagged off the rally at 9 AM. Dr Shilin Shukla interacted with patients who had come to attend the rally. He said it is a Day for service to mankind and giving peace to all who are suffering. Doctors, Staff Nurses, JivDaya Project (Palliative and Pediatric oncology) staff, Volunteers and patients participated in this rally. A team of Participants visited various hospitals in the campus and distributed about 1000 pamphlets to Doctors, Staff and people attending these health care centers. Keeping this theme in mind it was decided to spread the word about this day to other institutes in the campus like Institute of Kidney Diseases, AIDS/HIV centre, Civil Hospital, U N Mehta Cardiac Institute, B J Medical College and Paraplegia Centre.
