Dr Nisla Camano Reyes

Dr Camano Reyes obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Panama, Master's Degree in Health Services Management and Master's Degree in Palliative Care from the University of Valladolid.

She has dedicated to the development of Palliative Care in the Social Security of Panama, through a harmonious work with the Ministry of Health, sanitary regent. Initially at the Dr. Arnulfo Arias Madrid Hospital Complex, and for 3 years as National Coordinator of Palliative Care. On the other hand, she has played roles in the implementation of Telemedicine and Head of the Department of Health Technology in the Social Security Fund.

Founding member of the Panamanian Association of Palliative Care, and current President for the period 2017-2019, as well as a full member of the Latin American Association of Palliative Care. Also member of the Medical College of Panama, Panamanian Society of Hematology.

As a human being, she works so that the access of palliative care in her country maintains the development obtained in the last ones, as well as working in the elaboration of health policies focused on the patient and her family in life threatening situations. "Life at the end of life"
