Dr Douglas Crispim

Douglas Crispim is a Brazilian doctor who lives and works in São Paulo, Brazil.

He specialises both in geriatrics and palliative care and holds a PhD on palliative care from Hospital das Clínicas, Universidade de São Paulo (USP).

He supervises Communication, Palliative Care and Health Management programmes.

Throughout his career, Douglas has developed a number of programmes and courses such as Communication Teaching to Health Professionals and Assistance and Management Models for Palliative Care.

He served on Brazilian Academy of Palliative Care's board of directors from 2016 to 2022. He was head of this institution from 2021 to 2022.

He is currently the clinical director of Instituto Perdizes at Hospital das Clínicas da USP and a technical director of Grupo ASAShealth, which implements palliative care services. In addition, he is a technical director of Instituto Brasileiro de Comunicação em Saúde (Brazilian Institute of Communication in Health Issues).
