World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. Make palliative care available in Armenia

World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. Make palliative care available in Armenia

Event Date

Saturday, 12 October 2019

Friends’ Home and the doctors of Policlinik 13 (Yerevan, Armenia) prepared and organized World Hospice and Palliative Care Day. Policlinik 13 is the first medical center in Armenia where mobile palliative care started to work this year. We organized a meeting with the doctors and discussed the main issue and possible solutions in order for Palliative Care to become available in Armenia. We placed flags with the logo of that day “My Care My right” in medical centers. Doctors of policlinic invited journalists and gave an interview about palliative care and how it is important for our society. Palliative care is something new for our society and we will try to increase awareness about the fact that everyone has the right to be cared – My Care My Right
