JOSAAB Foundation's Hospice Egypt Project proudly celebrates the World Hospice Day of 2019 with a newly set goal to mobilize the Egyptian community to set the founding bricks to a better support network empowering terminally-ill patients to attain their rights with dignity till the end. This event will be held on Tuesday the 15th of October 2019 at El Sawy Culture Wheel in Zamalek, Cairo, Egypt from 5 to 9 pm under the theme "My Care - My Rights". The day's agenda will be featuring a short talk about the hospice concept along with an illustration of the latest numbers and data in Egypt. An awareness segment about the importance of including hospice care in health coverage from a leading healthcare professional showcasing benefits and cost effectiveness of such services. A successful attempt was made to bring forth volunteering media and press to shed light on patient and family testimonials, insights and concerns addressing policy makers. Participation will include university, public and private hospital healthcare providers and other non-governmental organizations as well as individuals interested in community work and services. Celebrity talks about the crucial role of volunteering and a recreational segment will follow.
