Though I was a survivor of cancer I had never heard of palliative care while under treatment. Palliative care entered my life in 1991 when I began to visit a cancer hospital in New Delhi, India. I realized as I looked around that the vast majority of those who had come had advanced and incurable cancers. Not only did they need palliative care, but they needed it at home as they were too sick to travel or had spent practically their last money on expensive and sadly futile treatments. I with friends founded CanSupport and it has taught me the value of patience, persistence and faith. Thanks for your support.
